Helpful Websites for Students Looking for Scholarships

Looking for scholarships can bring forth a lot of questions– where do I apply? Where do I start looking? Luckily, nowadays, there are many ways to start this process, as well as a lot of important tools right at your fingertips! Today, I’ll be listing some websites that might lend a helping hand.

1. ScholarshipsCanada.com

If you are looking for an easy way to find scholarships for any interest, this website may be right for you. It shows a variety of available scholarships for those interested in pretty much anything! With categories from art to nursing, business to science, or law to medical and health, there are loads of things that could be right up your alley.

2. Yconic.com

This site matches you to student awards, bursaries, grants, and scholarships after you input information about your academic goals. They also give access to several tools and resources as well as advice on student life.

3. Studentawards.com

Unlike the other websites, StudentAwards gives chances to win free money by filling out forms. You could win free tuition for your first year at York, or over 9000$ from Mount Allison – the opportunities are incredible! And if those schools aren’t your cup of tea, don’t worry, there are plenty more schools featured. I found it very easy to look through, and the options were laid out quite nicely. Signing up before April 2022 could also give you the chance to win a prize from the website!

4. Canada.ca

Though not exclusively a scholarship website, the official Canada site has some valuable info on scholarships and education funding. It also has quite a lot of information on budgeting for students. It may not look like fun, and I personally found it a little more difficult to navigate, there are some things worth checking out!

5. Our own school website!

Believe it or not, the Leo Hayes High School official site has an entire PowerPoint full of helpful websites. Ms. O'Keefe is a great person to talk to as she knows a lot about where to start looking for scholarship information.

Finding helpful scholarship information can be hard, I hope one of these sites has something for you.

I wish you the best after high school!

Audrey
