It’s theme week this week at Leo Hayes, and the lions are showing their holiday spirit!
Theme weeks are primarily organized by SRC, with the goal of boosting moral and school spirit. Especially now, with the winter looking bleak, it’s good to have some unity and cheer throughout the school! Theme days are also really fun, and everyone has their own ideas to bring to the table – plus it’s always entertaining to see what twists people put on their costumes! Let’s take a look at our themes for this week:
Friday, December 17th was ugly sweater day. Lions could be seen cracking out their ugly winter knitwear; the more unique, the better! Leo’s hallways were bright and festive, albeit a little tacky!
Monday, December 20th is family photo day! Dress up as a family with your friends and make a fun family photo. Don’t forget to tag Renaissance (@lhhs_renaissance) so they can see your wonderful family snapshot!
Tuesday, December 21st is blizzard day! The lions are dressing up in all white – we’re trying to make an absolute blizzard of students dressed like snowflakes tumbling from the sky!
Have you ever wanted to go on a warm vacation during the cold winter? Well, this is your chance – to dress like it, at least. Wednesday, December 22nd is Christmas Vacation Day! Dress up in t-shirts, shorts and your favourite summer accessories!
Finally, on Thursday, December 23rd, you don’t even need to change out of your warm pajamas! It’s also a half day, so low stress! Wear your coziest pyjamas and bring a blanket or stuffed animal if you want to be fancy.
We can’t wait to see the lions’ holiday spirit, and hope everyone has a happy holiday, and a great new year. See you in 2022!
