With this crazy year drawing to a close, there are a few more events our grads can mark in their calendars before they say goodbye to Leo Hayes.
Sunday, June 12th at 6pm, is a citywide baccalaureate service. Taking place at Journey Church, 131 Duncan Lane, the service will celebrate grads from all local high schools with music and lots of words of encouragement! Grads, family and friends will be invited to attend.
Monday, June 20th, grads will get their final report cards. We’re sure they can’t wait to see all their hard work paying off!
Tuesday, June 21st is prom! It is taking place here at LHHS from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Grads should start arriving at Willie O’Ree at 6:30 as the car parade from Willie O’Ree starts at 7:00. At 8:00, the Grand March will take place in front of Leo. Then head on in and enjoy your night!
Finally, the long-awaited day of graduation arrives on Thursday, June 23rd. The ceremony is split into four separate time slots for each section of the alphabet. Students with the last name starting with A-E will graduate from 9:00-10:15am, F-L from 10:15-11:30am, M-Q from 1:00-2:15pm and R-Z from 2:15-3:30pm. Grads can invite ten guests to watch them walk across the stage. Once the diploma is presented graduates and their guests leave out the back door for photos.
